What are the medical requirements?
We require Rabies, Bordetella ( kennel cough ), and Parvo/Distemper combo ( DHPP, DHLPP, etc.). Young puppies must be up to date on Bordetella, and have their 3rd set of puppy vaccines completed. You may request for us to call your vet for confirmation, or email us the certificate with expiration dates shown.
Does my dog need to be spayed/neutered to go to daycare/boarding?
Yes, dogs in our care must be either neutered or spayed if over the age of 6 months.
Do you accept aggressive dogs?
Unfortunately we are not able to accept aggressive dogs in our daycare/boarding. All dogs in our care must have no history of aggression towards people or another dog. Please give us a call if you are concerned your dog may fall into this category.
How do I set up shuttle services for my dog?
All approved shuttle service customers must complete a credit card authorization form and provide us with keys, and parking instructions to your residence.
Please note that as a safety precaution, we do not label our keys with anything distinguishable to anyone but our staff. When not in use, keys are kept in a locked area. All of our drivers are insured, have a clean driving record, and have had criminal background checks completed prior to becoming a driver.
For more information to see if you qualify for this service, please give us a call at our Powell Street location.
How long can my dog stay at your boarding facility?
You can book your dog's stay as long as you need ( a day, week, or even month). We bill on a 24 hour cycle. All boarding charges will be due at the time of drop off.
For example, if you drop your dog off at 11am and he/she is picked up after 11am on the day of pickup, an appropriate daycare charge would be applied.
What is your cancellation policy for boarding?
A $50 deposit is required in order to secure a reservation. We require 48 hour business day notice for a refund of your deposit. If we are given less than 48 hours' notice or you book within the cancellation period, your deposit is non-refundable.
*Reservations made for our peak season require a non-refundable deposit to secure the booking
What should I bring when I drop my dog off?
If your dog is visiting us for daycare, you don't have to bring anything. If you choose to supply a lunch or snack however, we have a lunch period during the day which your pup can take a break and have something to eat.
If your dog is with us for boarding (staying overnight), you should bring enough food to last for his/her stay, and then a little bit extra for emergencies. Food is available for purchase if you forget.
We will not feed anything that is not authorized by the pets' parents. This is to avoid a sudden change in diet that may cause digestive upset.
We have plenty of comfortable beds in our facility. While it's not mandatory, you are welcome to provide a bed or something from home for your pooch to sleep with. Sometimes having something from home can be a great comfort for longer stays.
I have a small dog, will he/she be safe?
Some small dogs enjoy running with the big dogs but just in case, we have a special area for little ones to play with his/her smaller friends. We separate dogs by size, but also by temperament.
Where does my dog go potty?
If your dog is visiting the Powell Street location, there is a 2000 sq ft outdoor dog run that the dogs have free access to. They can come and go as they please.
If your dog is visiting the Davie Street location, he or she will get to go on frequent walks through out the day around the neighborhood.
Do you offer any discounts?
We offer several packages with discounts that may fit your needs. Any package you buy is valid for 6 months from the time of the purchase. Please check our Rates and Services page for more details.
Do you offer service to older pets?
Yes, older or special needs pets will be placed in appropriate playgroups or if they like to relax alone they will be placed in the lounge where they can rest and nap all day. We have multiple areas to suit each dogs' unique needs.
Do you feed my pet during daycare?
If you would like your pet to eat while at daycare you will need to supply his/her food or treats and his/her eating schedule. There is no extra cost to feed your pet during daycare.
What happens if I am late to pick up my dog from daycare?
Do not worry, simply call us.
lf you are going to be late picking up your dog from daycare/boarding, you should give us a call and let us know you will be late. However there will be a $10 charge for every 15 minutes after our business closes for the day.
Can we view your facility?
Yes! We would love to meet you. If visiting the Davie location, no worry. It's an open faced facility, so you can see right into the daycare even from the lobby counter.
If visiting the Powell Street facility, it's best to make an appointment ahead of time at either 7:00am or 6:30pm. This is our larger, busier location, so we ask that you come at the times we have the least number of dogs.
Remember, a lot of our dogs at either location are regular pack members. They view our facility as a second home, and can sometimes get over excited if they see strangers they don't know. We take safety precautions to ensure everyone is happy and comfortable.
